Happy New Year 2016 to you all! We are recovering from a very stressful December with washer and dryer problems, fireplace flue issues, colds, and just the normalness that the Christmas season brings. But our holiday was indeed lovely and we had a great time just being together as a family.
With the new year comes new goals. I love a fresh start. I am really NOT a resolution maker. But, I do like setting goals for myself. I find that setting goals gives me more time to give myself grace instead of setting myself up with a resolution that will more than likely broken in one week. I've been reading through other blogs about taking on a word for yourself for the year. I kinda pushed the thought aside at first but the more I read of others doing it and the more I thought over my goals, a word popped into my head. So, my word for 2016 is RENEW. Renewal on my health both spiritually and physically, renewal of relationships, renewal of my love to write, and renewal of my home. I have also decided to attach a verse to my word.
But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
I am looking forward to all that the Lord will do this year. Now, onto my goals for my blog.
I started this blog last year with the hopes that I would get to it more often. I made the mistake of thinking, I will get to it when I have time. Surely, I would have time at least once a week. But, you know how life is. Things get busy. Life moves on and I barely did all that I wanted to do. I love to write and with my family's encouragement, I finally began to write again after a long season of not writing and raising little babies. I have begun 2 books and this blog. So, I am setting up goals for my blog and scheduling them in to hold myself accountable. Here is a list of goals for my blog for 2016:
1. Write twice per week
2. Have two book reviews per month
3. Share fabulous freebies to help you in your homemaking and, if you are a homeschooler, homeschooling. You will be able to find these on my new facebook page,
https://www.facebook.com/apeekinourwindow. I will not be posting them here. If you want to see them, you will have to follow my page. This will be the easiest way for me to post and for you to keep up with the free stuff as it is available.
May God bless you in this new year.
